Aldo Russo in Social Studies class

Who better to learn about immigration than from their own principal and his experiences?

The 4th Grade students at the John F. Kennedy Primary School have been studying Immigration as part of their Social Studies curriculum.

So Aldo Russo, the JFK Principal, shared his background with the students about his experience when his family left Italy and settled in the United States.

Principal Russo grew up in Bridgewater and attended the schools in the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District.

He spoke to the classes who have been studying about push and pull factors, reasons families have left their countries to live in another country and make connections to their own families and lives.

Thank you for your first-hand experience, Principal Russo.
