
The Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School Drama Club students and advisors have been busy rehearsing for the school's Spring Musical, Legally Blonde Jr., which will be performed Friday evening, May, 2, in the Middle School auditorium. Here are some scenes from the afternoon practices.











The Band Concert, the third and final musical series in the BRRSD Festival of the Arts, was performed on Thursday night, March 27, at Bridgewater-Raritan High School's gymnasium. The fourth and final show in the Festival of the Arts will be the Visual Arts exhibit on May 22.







The Festival of the Arts continued with the Orchestra Concert on Wednesday night, March 26, at Bridgewater-Raritan High School, where intermediate, middle school and high school students performed. The Festival's final musical show, the Band Concert, is Thursday, March 27.

The Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District's Festival of the Arts opened on Wednesday, March 19, when the Choral Concert was performed at Bridgewater-Raritan High School's main gym. The Orchestra Concert is set for March 26, and the Band Concert will be played on March 27.


Aanya Mehta, who won the Spelling Bee championship this year at the Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School, placed second in the Region competition. on March 2 at the South Orange Performing Arts Center. The Middle School 7th Grader was runner-up in a field of 60 contestants.



Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School's Student Council held its 28th Annual 8th Grade Talent Show on Thursday, March 13. Here are some scenes from the evening.






Another highly successful Big Nick Classic was played on Thursday, February 20, at the Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School. Here are scenes from the 24th edition of this basketball game that honored the late Nick Klecz and the late Dan Grigal. If you are keeping score, the staff defeated the students, 46-45.







Broadway Night, which featured the choirs from Bridgewater-Raritan High School, Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School, Eisenhower Intermediate School and Hillside Intermediate School, was performed on Wednesday, February 19, and Thursday, February 20, in the BRHS auditorium.






School was not in session on Wednesday, January 29, but teachers and staff were busy sharing educational lessons and recommendations in rooms across the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District that day.
The school district’s PD (Professional Development) Day was held on January 29, when speakers held productive sessions on a wide range of topics at numerous school buildings throughout Bridgewater-Raritan.





An education on what awaits their children when they enter the Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School was provided in detail by the school’s administrators and staff on Thursday, January 30.
On that evening, the Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School held its orientation for incoming students in the fall.
Parents and guardians of current 6th Grade students packed the auditorium and received descriptions of the programs that are offered in a presentation led by Middle School Principal Megan Corliss.
She was assisted in this productive session by Assistant Principals Conor Scott and Michael Godown and the 7th Grade Counselors Lori Macsata, Julia Meiserich, and Christina Roach.






No Name-Calling Week is observed during the third week of January to educate students, teachers, and the public on the harms of name-calling. Students are encouraged to participate in the following spirit days next week.


Snow and frigid weather have not halted the start of construction of the addition to the Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School.
The construction of the new wing at the Middle School is a significant component of the 2023 District Referendum that will result in full-day Kindergarten and the addition of Sixth-Grade students to the Middle School. Work is scheduled to be completed by September of 2026.
On Tuesday, August 27, the Bridgewater-Raritan Board of Education awarded the bid to build the Middle School addition to the Bennett Company, Inc. for $13,680,000.00. This addition will encompass 25,000 square feet and include 18 classrooms, including three science labs.
Groundbreaking is set to begin in the fall of 2024, with completion by September 2026. The middle school addition is a significant component of the district referendum which will result in full-day kindergarten and the addition of sixth-grade students to the Middle School.





The musical groups at the Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School sent out the end of the semester and the start of the Winter Break with a resounding performance when the Winter Music Assemblies were presented on Friday morning, December 20, in the school's auditorium.

Last evening, the Board of Education awarded a bid to renovate the High School Performing Arts Center. This project is possible due to the success of our 2023 referendum and will commence at the end of the current school year. Please take a moment to look at the renderings.




The Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School will present its 2024 Winter Chorus Concert on Thursday, December 12.
The concert, under the leadership of Middle School Choral Director Gabriel, Hingelberg, will begin at 6 p.m. in the school's auditorium.

Twenty-five families in the Bridgewater area will receive Thanksgiving meals thanks to the efforts of the Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). The PTO collected catered meals in the Middle School conference room, where the dinners will then be distributed on the afternoon of Wednesday, December 27.


Dazzle the dance floor at this year's Charity Dance, on Friday, December 6th. Tickets are on sale for $10 during homeroom now through November 25th, or for $15 at the door on the evening of the dance. Don't miss out on this spectacular event! There will be a DJ , treats , dancing and photo ops! The dress code is festive, fun, and slightly fancy! Donations from the dance to benefit BR families, and NJASC State Charity, Ava's Voice! Hope to see you there!


BRMS will have a Turkey Trot for students during all PE classes on Wednesday November 27, 2024. For every dollar donated, students will receive a raffle ticket to win one of our fabulous prizes! Donations will be accepted during lunches on 11/25, and 11/26, and all day Wednesday during the trot. All donations will help BRMS families in need!


Red Ribbon Week is the nation's oldest and largest drug prevention awareness program. It is celebrated October 23rd - October 31st. BRMS will observe Red Ribbon Week with Red Day on Wednesday, October 30th. Students and staff are asked to wear red to show that they are committed to being safe, healthy, and drug free. Students will also be given the opportunity to decide to be drug free and sign our red ribbon. Please see the linked flyer.
