Attention JFK families, school registration is now open !

Back to School promotions have started—-and it is still in the dead of winter.

The Back to School program at the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District is launched when the calendar has just turned to 2023.

That is because the school district is excited to announce the opening of registration for Kindergarten and Grade 1 students for the 2023-2024 school year.

“We look forward to welcoming our new families and students to the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District,” said Walter Kalicki, the school district’s Registrar Attendance Officer.

Students new to the school district will be educated in a fun and passionate environment that is on the school schedule at each of the seven primary schools that are spread throughout the communities of Bridgewater Township and the Borough of Raritan.

Kindergarten and 1st Grade children will be entrenched in a wonderful learning atmosphere once the doors open in September for classes at the John F. Kennedy School (JFK).

The only one of the seven Primary Schools in the school district that is housed in the Borough of Raritan, JFK is unique in other ways as well.

First off the bat, or in this case, lacrosse stick, is Aldo Russo, who is in his first year as the Principal at JFK.

Principal Russo grew up in the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District and was graduated from here before he went on to college at St. John’s University in New York. While in both high school and in college, Principal Russo was regarded as a legendary lacrosse player.

He has since retired from competing but his gifts as an administrator and his personality will certainly ease any nerves from both new parents and students who enter the doors at JFK for the first time.

Principal Russo is the first to sign up for classes.

“Registration is now open for the 2023-2024 school year at John F. Kennedy Elementary School in Raritan,” he proclaimed.

Principal Russo went on to prep his new families to the environment at JFK.

“Be ready to join an amazing community of teachers, families and students,” Principal Russo said. “We provide each student with an educational experience that inspires and motivates them to be lifelong learners and caring contributors to the world around them.”

“We are already looking forward to meeting our news Cubs.”

These future Cubs–the nickname of JFK–are anxious to claw at all of the fun and educational opportunities that JFK has to offer.

But before those school doors fly open in September, Mr. Kalicki urges families to follow these suggestions and regulations.
